We want you to get the most out of your appointment with us!
So we’ve put together a list of the most frequently asked questions we get from clients when booking their first appointment.
It’s hard to know exactly how long your appointment will take. We usually set aside one hour for your initial consultation. Depending on how complicated your matter is, your consultation may take a bit longer.
We will always spend as much time with you as necessary, to ensure that you leave our offices feeling informed and confident about the next steps.
We don’t recommend bringing children with you to your appointment with us. During your appointment we may need to discuss very sensitive subjects that we don’t want children being exposed to.
If your matter involves a dispute about children, then those children cannot come with you to the appointment. It is vital that we keep children away from conflict as much as we possibly can and not involve them in adult discussions about family law disputes.
We charge a fixed fee of $275 for your initial consultation. If we need to spend more than an hour with you, please don’t worry! Your appointment will not cost any extra.
If you’d prefer a weekend appointment, there is an additional 10% surcharge.
We can accept payment of our initial consultation fee by either EFTPOS or cash on the day.
Whatever you think might help!
If you’ve got any Court documents, written agreements with the other party, or anything else you think might be relevant, please bring them along to your appointment.
If you come to your first appointment and you feel like you’ve forgotten something, please don’t worry. During your appointment we can discuss which other documents might be necessary for your matter.
